<Dao De Jing 道德经> chapter eight
The greatest virtue is like water. 上善若水。The goodness of water is that it benefits the ten thousand creatures; yet itself does not scramble, 水善利万物而不争,but is content with the places that all men disdain, 处众人之所恶,it is this that makes water so near the the Way. 故几于道。And if men think the ground the best place for building a house upon;居,善地;if among thoughts they value those that are profound; 心,善渊;if in friendship they value gentleness; 与,善仁;in words, truth; 言,善信;in government, good order;政,善治;in deeds, effectivenss; 事,善能;in actions, timeliness. 动,善时。In each case it is because they prefer what does not lead to strife, and therefore does not go amiss. 夫唯不争,故无尤。

Introduction:
Porcelain tea wares from the porcelain capital of “Jing De Zhen”, which has been produced porcelain for over 1700 years. Jing De Zhen porcelain has been created its own four special features, those are : “White like jade, bright as a mirror, thin as paper, sound like a chime.” The technique of combining painting and porcelain firing first has started in the Tang and Song dynasties and became popular in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Since gaoline of Jingdezhen has more mineral substances and firing temperature up to 1340°C, Jingdezhen porcelain belongs to high temperature porcelain (above 1200°C), other places’ porcelains can not compare, for example, cheap Dehua porcelain is low temperature porcelain only around 700-800°C.
